Overview
If you would like to use your print pages to print from your personal laptop, you can connect your computer to lab printers.
Automatic Installation
Legacy Installation
Please note that all device types go to the same installation website. This website should automatically detect the type of device you're accessing it on, though if it doesn't do it correctly, please select from the list on the bottom to select the correct device type.
Devices must be connected to a University network to access this site (all of PaperCut services are this way).

Click the Green 'Download' Button Under Step 1
Open the Downloaded File
Press 'Allow' for the PaperCut Mobility Print Pop Up
Run the Installation Wizard (Installation program that pops up after step 4)
- Select Language
- Accept Terms and Conditions
- Click Next on the "UofI-MobilePrint [print02]" screen.
- Enter your school username and password (without vandals.uidaho.edu)
- It will finish installing, press Finish once complete.
You now have the ability to print from your windows device. Papercut is now a printer on your computer that will show up on whatever application you're trying to print from. Please select UofI-MobilePrint [print02](Mobility) from whichever application you wish to print from.
Your print is now available for release at the printer, instructions to do so are located here.

Open the Downloaded File
Run the Installation Wizard (Installation program that pops up after step 3)
- Click Continue
- Click Continue
- Select Agree
- Select Install
- Installation finishes, Click Close
- Move to Trash
You now have the ability to print from your Mac. Papercut is now a printer on your computer that will show up on whatever application you're trying to print from. Please select UofI-MobilePrint from whichever application you wish to print from. You will need to insert your student username (without vandals.uidaho.edu) and password to complete the print.
Your print is now available for release at the printer, instructions to do so are located here.
Navigate to go.uidaho.edu/papercutsetup
Click the Green 'Download' Button Under Step 1
Open Device Settings
A notification should appear saying "Profile Downloaded", click Close.
Open up your device's Settings application.
Select the Downloaded Profile
Under your name in the settings app, click Profile Downloaded.
Install Profile
Click Install in the upper right.
You now have the ability to print from your IOS device. Papercut is now a printer on your computer that will show up on whatever application you're trying to print from. Please select UofI-MobilePrint from whichever application you wish to print from.
Your print is now available for release at the printer, instructions to do so are located here.

Install the App
Once forwarded to your device's app store, click Install.
Open the App
Select Tap here and check the Mobility Print Service is on to verify "Mobility Print" is available.
Now you should have Papercut printing available when attempting to print any file from your android mobile device. You can find in your list of device printers labeled as "UofI-MobilePrint". After selecting it Your print is now available for release at the printer, instructions to do so are located here.
Open the Run command
Type Run into the search bar of the start menu and select the Run program from the list.

Type \\print02.its.uidaho.edu
- When the Run box appears enter the following: \\print02.its.uidaho.edu
- Select the OK button to continue.

Select UofI-MobilePrint
Double click on UofI-MobilePrint.
This connects your PC to the mobile printing queue. You will need to allow the Mobile print queue access through Admin privileges.

Choose UofI-MobilePrint When Printing
After access is allowed go back to your document you wish to print and proceed to the print page and select UofI-MobilePrint when printing.

At the Printer
Once you have selected your document and pressed print walk over to the printer. You will then press enter on the keypad and type in your vandal number. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code on the printer and login using your vandal email and password. You can then select which documents you want to print from your printing queue.
Open System Settings
Click on the Apple icon in the top left and then click System Settings.

Select Printers & Scanners
Select Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax.

Customize Toolbar
The window to add a printer will appear. You will need to add an advanced option to the toolbar.
To do this, hold down the control key and click on the grey area at the top of the window.
In the drop down menu select Customize Toolbar.

Add Advanced Option to Toolbar
Click and drag the Advanced icon to the toolbar, then select the Done button to continue.

Open Advanced Options
Click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar.
When the options are available, select Type and choose the Windows printer via spoolss option.

Enter Printer Information
In the URL field you will need to enter the following: smb://print02.its.uidaho.edu/UofI-MobilePrint
In Name put: UofI-MobilePrint
In Location put: UofI Papercut General Print Queue
In use select: Generic PostScript Printer

Add the Printer
When all of this is set up correctly, click on the Add button to install the printer.
It will then ask you if this is a duplex printing unit, which enables double sided printing. Make sure this option is checked, then press OK.

Print a Test Page
Once the printer is set up, send a test print to it. The queue will appear in the dock. Click Resume and enter credentials in the form:
- University Account: jvandal or vand1234
- University account password
When the printer is added to your local computer, print a test page to make sure the printer was installed correctly.
This print queue will work with all Student Computing Lab printers.
Release the Print Job
Once you have selected your document and pressed print walk over to the printer. You will then press enter on the keypad and type in your vandal number. Leaving an old password in these profiles can cause your account password to lock out temporarily, preventing access to university computers and web services.
